Choosing the right clamps requires comprehensive consideration of pipe material, working pressure, temperature, media corrosivity, installation environment, and sealing requirements to ensure a safe, reliable connection, long service life, and low maintenance costs.

 

Core Selection Parameters

Pipe Diameter Matching: Clamps of the corresponding specifications must be selected based on the pipe's outer diameter to avoid leaks caused by excessive looseness or compression.

 

Working Pressure:
Small pressure fluctuations → Select based on average pressure;
Occasional fluctuations → Media pressure should not exceed 1.5 times the working pressure;
Frequent large fluctuations → Select based on peak pressure.

 

Temperature and Media:
High-temperature environments (e.g., steam pipes) → Use heat-resistant steel or Inconel alloy clamps;
Corrosive media (e.g., acids and alkalis) → Prefer 304/316L stainless steel or nickel-based alloys;
Low-temperature environments → Use austenitic stainless steel to prevent ductile-brittle transition.

 

Sealing ring materials:
EPDM rubber: Temperature resistant from -40℃ to 120℃, suitable for water and air systems;
Silicone gaskets: Temperature resistant up to 200℃, but more expensive;
PTFE: Resistant to strong corrosion, used in chemical pipelines.
